Green Sports Therapy always aims to provide the highest quality of healthcare to all clientele. In return, we ask that clients treat staff and other clients with respect, notify us if they are unable to attend appointments, and make payments promptly. Please see below for further details.
Professional Standards
All treatment is provided by fully qualified, experienced, and insured therapists.
Initial Assessment
All services begin with an initial assessment, which usually requires a 45-minute session. This session will include:
A discussion of your previous and current medical history.
Questions about your current symptoms and an assessment of the problem area.
A discussion of your therapist’s findings, an appropriate plan of care and any additional advice suited to your individual needs.
Following the initial assessment, it may be decided that treatment for your condition is not appropriate or possible. In this case, your therapist will advise you on alternative options for treatment.
Health Disclosure
You are required to be honest about any health or social conditions that may affect your symptoms or treatment.
Failure to do so may hinder recovery or result in contraindicated treatment.
Please cancel your appointment if you become acutely unwell or develop symptoms of a contagious illness (e.g. a sickness bug).
Clothing and Treatment Considerations
During assessment and treatment, the therapist may ask you to perform movements to assess your injury. We recommend wearing loose, comfortable clothing.
For lower-limb injuries: shorts are advised
For upper-limb injuries: a vest top is advised
In some cases, partial removal of clothing may be required to assess or treat an area (e.g. shoulder). Your modesty will be respected at all times and the therapist will leave the room should you need to dress or undress.
Treatment Effects and Aftercare
Despite best practice, some techniques may result in minor bruising, muscle soreness, or headaches. These potential effects will be explained prior to treatment.
If you experience any expected or unexpected effects following treatment – even if delayed – please contact your therapist as soon as possible. Appropriate advice will be given, and future sessions adjusted if required.
If you have any concerns regarding your treatment or experience at Green Sports Therapy, please raise them with your therapist so they can be addressed promptly.
Chaperone Policy
Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
If you would like a chaperone present during your appointment, you are welcome to bring someone with you. We ask that no more than one additional person is present in the treatment room.
Confidentiality
All information provided to Green Sports Therapy will be kept confidential. Information will only be shared with your consent, unless the therapist has a legal obligation to report concerns where you or others may be at risk of harm.
Your data will be stored in accordance with the Data Protection Act and the UK/EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
